Arizona Health Care Cost Containment Services (AHCCCS)
MAT PDOA Criminal Justice Project
Wellington conducted process and outcome evaluation and data management of this multi-year federal grant program. The project was a collaborative initiative between the AHCCCS and the Regional Behavioral Health Authorities (RBHA) in Arizona to address the need for medication assisted treatment (MAT) to treat opioid use disorder (OUD) for individuals involved with the criminal justice system. The overarching goal included building a bridge between incarceration and outpatient treatment for individuals diagnosed with OUD.
Pregnant and Post Partum Women Project.
Wellington conducted process and outcome evaluation and data management of this multi year federally funded project. The program expanded access to substance use and opioid use treatment for pregnant and postpartum women by expanding the treatment infrastructure and developing multi-sector capacity to screen, assess, refer and treatment the target population.
COVID-19 Emergency Grant Project
Wellington conducted process and outcome evaluation and data management of the three year federally funded project. The AHCCCS Emergency COVID-19 program provided crisis intervention, behavioral health treatment, and recovery support services for adults, with an emphasis on health care professionals, impacted by the pandemic. The program addressed the needs of individuals with serious mental illness (SMI), substance use, co-occurring substance use and behavioral health disorders, and disorders less severe than SMI.
Cocopah Indian Tribe
COVID 19 Project
Wellington conducted process and outcome evaluation and data management of the multi-year federally funded program managed by the Cocopah Indian Tribe. The program aimed to increase access to mental health, substance use treatment, and recovery support services during the COVID 19 pandemic by developing a system of telehealth services for individuals with serious mental illness (SMI), substance use disorders (SUD), co-occurring SMI and SUD, and individuals with less severe mental health disorders.
Tribal Opioid Response (TOR)
Wellington is conducting process and outcome evaluation and data management of this multi-year program. The overarching goal of the program is to increase access to treatment for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), co-occurring substance use disorders (COD), behavioral health disorders, and culturally relevant recovery support and care coordination services. Cocopah TOR outreaches, assesses, and coordinates care for Medication Opioid Use Disorder treatment and intensive treatment services for eligible Cocopah members. Cocopah TOR also coordinates care and provides recovery support, case management and access to Opioid Overdose Reversal Medications.
Aliviane Inc., Drug Court Expansion Project
Wellington is conducting process and outcome evaluation and data management of this five-year program. The El Paso Drug Court Expansion Project, is a federally funded to expand and enhance substance use disorder treatment and recovery support services in El Paso County for those attending the El Paso County Driving While Intoxicated Drug Treatment Court (DWI Court). The DWI Court is a nationally recognized specialty court that oversees adults convicted of DWI offenses.
El Paso Child Guidance Center, Mental Health Starts with Me
Wellington is conducting both process and outcome evaluation and data management of this multi-year program. Mental Health Starts with Me/La Salud Mental Empieza Conmigo aims to increase access to effective trauma and grief focused behavioral health treatment for children, adolescents and their families living in El Paso County and attending the rural Clint and San Elizario school districts on the U.S./Mexico border. System level work includes leading a regional, trauma informed consortium of care, increasing capacity of workforce to provide trauma-informed and grief-focused services, policy alignment to build screening and referral infrastructure, and trauma and grief awareness education.
